Personal Statement
Hey! My name is Shandelaina (Shandy) Nelson.I go to Mountain Pine High School in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Sports are a big thing in my life, and they put an impact on everything I do. The sports I am mostly focused on are: volleyball and soccer. I have played volleyball for 6+ years and soccer for 4+ years. Even though I am only focused on two sports, I love being active and am open to play any sport that is come upon me. I’m not a lazy person, and sports keep me highly motivated. I joined NCSA to get scouted, matched with colleges and possibly recruited to one of the best schools. I started on NCSA late and as a senior, so I am kind of behind. But, I am working my hardest and keeping my head held high to get into a great school. I hope to get recruited and accepted into a D l-lll school, and one of my choice. Before my Senior year ends, I hope to have a sports or academic scholarship. If I were to get a scholarship for volleyball, I promise any coach out there I will give my full commitment, dedication and every blood sweat and tear in my body. I am enlisting into the army within 2-4 weeks and am going to college to get a degree/major in Healthcare and/or business. My first option will be nursing, my second will be business administration. In Healthcare, I would like to start with a pct, or lpn and work my way up within 2-4 years to be and RN. If I get recruited, I’d prefer to attend a college with an ROTC program, and a very competitive to somewhat competitive volleyball team or sports league. Getting scouted and recognized would be my dream. When watching college/pro volleyball or soccer I dream about being one of those ladies one day, and I will do my best to succeed! While playing sports in middle school, I realized I truly loved it. Then, I had gotten into High School and I figured I'd go for it all and do my best. Now that I know that school is the only place that will get you anywhere and it is my last year of High School, I now realize that I would like to make it big in the world. Thank you for giving your time out to read this, I hope to hear from some more great colleges soon!
