Personal Statement
Winning the Arkansas Class 3A State Championship my sophomore year was something that had never happened in any sport at Paris High School. As a starting setter my junior year and heading into the last two weeks of the season, I tore my ACL and meniscus and had to watch a back to back championship win from the bench. I knew then and there, I was determined to come back from my injury and work towards a three peat.
Being a part of a highly successful team and facing a comeback from injury has taught me the true meaning of hard work, commitment, perseverance, sacrifice, teamwork and leadership. My goal is to find a program that is a good fit for me on and off the court. I have worked extra hard to be where I was prior to my injury and feel it has given me the work-ethic and character to go along with my talent as a player to compete at the college level.
