Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Samantha Kathleen Lassiter; I am 17 years old and from Northwest Arkansas. I am currently attending Rogers High School in Rogers, Arkansas. My expected graduation date is May, 2016. I have had a tremendous passion for school and club volleyball since I first started playing in the eighth grade. Our team went to the 7A West State Volleyball Tournament in Fall 2014 and I will never forget that amazing experience.
I pride myself in excellence both on and off the court and value my teammates like my family. This year I am carrying three advanced placement classes and currently have a 4.0 GPA. I am also on track to graduate with distinguished honors and understand it takes dedicated work to academics and volleyball to succeed.
I have taken the ACT and will continue taking it to keep improving my score. Being goal-oriented and focused on continuous improvement has definitely been engrained in me since an early age. It has been my desire for a number of years to play volleyball at the college level and also to study architecture. Through a partnership with NCSA, my continued drive, effort, and additional achievements, I aspire to discover a college that offers me the opportunity to recognize my full potential as an academic athlete.
