2017 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I am a 5'11" left-side hitter from Mission, BC. I have played club Volleyball for 4 seasons, I am currently playing U16 for Fraser Valley Volleyball Club. We're currently ranked 4th in British Columbia heading into the Provincial Championships. In grade 9, I started playing on the varsity team at Hatzic Secondary School, helping the team place 5th at the "AA" Provincials. During the summer of 2015 I was selected to the Volleyball BC High Performance Program placing 4th in the Zone Championships Provincial tournament.
I also played 6 years of Rep "A" softball finishing as high as 4th in the Provincial Championships.
Outside of playing volleyball I have been in a volleyball leadership program for 3 years where I help coach and referee throughout my community. I'm looking for a university where there's a balance of both sports and academics. A university where I can explore my interests of history, art history and visual arts. I also have an interest in education and teaching children, which I have found through volunteer activities. I would like to find a university that will help me grow and develop my interests into life long skills. With athletics I want to be on a competitive team where I can contribute as a player. Friendships and bonding with my teammates is important to me as I want to grow as an athlete an person through out my university experience.
