Personal Statement
Hi Coaches!
My name is Sadie Arganda and I'm a Libero graduating in 2020. I play for Riverside Community College in Riverside, California. I've been playing volleyball for six years and consider myself a leader on the teams that I have played for. My coaches also consider me a leader as I have been team captain four out of six years. I shared the Libero position this past season and I'm currently the starting Libero going into my Sophomore year. This past Spring I played beach volleyball through RCC, I started on the 3's team and then moved up to the 2's team.
When I first started playing volleyball I was a setter, but I moved to Libero my sophomore year in high school due to my great defensive skills and a keen eye for the court. I'm able to predict what the opposing team is going to do and I have the ability to read the block and let my hitters know what area of the court is open.
I think that it's important to make sure that my academics are a high priority and I have the discipline to get my school work done to the best of my ability. I constantly strive to do my best both on and off the court, while also trying to help my teammates. At the end of the Fall semester 2019, I will have my AA in Kinesiology Health and Wellness. I wish to continue my education in Kinesiology as a student-athlete.
If you are looking for someone in the class of 2020 who is vocal, has consistent ball control and who isn't afraid to lay herself out on the court to save a play, then I hope you will consider me for your team.
