Personal Statement
Hi! My name is Tarin Rueckert and I am a 17 year old, 2023, middle/oppo that plays for Cypress High School (CHS) and Seal Beach Volleyball Club (SBVB). I started my athletic journey by playing 5 years of softball. I was in the fifth grade when I started playing volleyball.
As a freshman, I started off my season as a starter on our JV team. A few games into the season I was brought up to play with Varsity. Now that my junior season has ended, I was a starter middle and I even got to play a new position as a setter. I was selected by the coaches of the Empire League as an All League - 1st Team player.
On the court I am an athletic and reliable player that is willing to go wherever the team needs me. I am an aggressive hitter that has a quick reaction time and a positive team player.
When I am not on the court or in the weight room, I like to express my creativity with art. Art helps me stay mentally focused and it clears my head. I am also a hard working student and maintain a 3.94 GPA.
