Personal Statement
Hi! My name’s Sheyanne Hike and I’m a defensive specialist/libero for both my nationals club volleyball team and my very competitive D1 high school volleyball team Clovis north. I have been raised by my aunt and uncle and I feel being a foster kid has definitely helped me understand no matter what something around you will always be changing you have to adapt and keep working hard. My situation as a foster kid will also open a lot more doors for me financially with collage which makes me very open to taking a walk on position. Having played multiple positions, I am strong with both defense and offense. I am skillful in reading hitters, serve- receive, overall hustle, and coach-ability. Sports have taught me to work as a team, and that while everything might not go as we want; we might not win we leave it all on the court. I love that the game is always changing, developing and the degree of competition is so competitive which in return forces me to work harder. I am a committed leader and player who will not stop until I reach my goal. I am always touching a ball and working hard to be successful at my craft. I believe that I would be a great addition to any team as I love to learn and work hard and embrace change. No player can stay stagnant they have to always be moving and changing and that is how I believe they truly become a top player.
