Personal Statement
Volleyball has been my passion since 8 years old. Ever since I stepped on the court I knew that Volleyball was what I wanted to do. Through my years of playing I have wanted to be a college athlete and realized that to get to the level my effort, determination, hard work and willpower is needed to succeed. I am always working hard and putting all the effort into becoming the best athlete I can be.
I am an Outside Hitter on my club and on my high school team. I just switched from Middle Blocker/Opposite to Outside this past season. Switching to a different position was hard adjusting to but soon it helped me become a more well rounded player. Changing to an Outside was a amazing way for me to get more serve receive and passing reps to help me become a better passer. I am a very coachable, encouraging and supportive teammate. I don't make excuses for my mistakes but instead figure out a way to make the next play better.
My love for volleyball is undeniable. I know it takes effort, willingness, attitude and dedication to become the best player I can at the next level. One of my favorite quotes is, "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." -Wayne Gretzky. This quote has always helped me to just go for it and be aggressive because if you try a million times you bound to get it right but if you don't try at all how do you know if you can do it or not. Everyone is gonna mess up but if you keep trying you will succeed.
