I plan to play volleyball in college because I am happiest when on the court. I have the most fun when the competition and pressure are highest. I want to play at a competitive college program that challenges me every day.
I'm a hard worker on and off the court. I have been doing extra training outside of my club and high school practices because I know putting in extra time and effort is what it takes to be successful, not only in volleyball, but academically too.
I work hard academically, taking AP and honors courses, because I know I will not be able to play volleyball forever. I would like to major in biology as part of a pre-vet track.
Beyond volleyball and school, I spend time giving back to those in need through National Charity League. I am currently the president of my 60 member grade level. In NCL, we do things like babysitting for single mothers and running food drives for the less fortunate.
On the court, it is very important to me to be encouraging and have a good attitude to help my teammates succeed. I strive to be the best I can be, but also be a leader and example along the way. I make smart decisions on and off the court.
I am really looking forward to sharing the highest level of commitment with all of my future college teammates. I'm grateful for all of the opportunities I have been given and want to be able to look back some day and know I made the most of those opportunities.
