I have been an athlete my whole life. I learned to swim at nine months before I could walk. My parents enrolled me in a club swim team NOVA Aquatics at the age of five.
My parents also believed in the arts and put me in Ballet at the age of two and the Southern California Children's Choir at the age of five, which I stayed in until the age of 14. During my first year of High School, I joined High School Volleyball, High School Swim Team, Club Volleyball, as well as starting to play High School Waterpolo for the first time. Freshman year, I made Varsity Swim, Junior Varsity Waterpolo, Sophomore Volleyball, and Tstreet's Club Volleyball team. Now in my second year of high school, I have kept Varsity Swim and made Varsity Waterpolo. Unfortunately, I had an injury that didn't allow me to play High School Volleyball, yet I did play Tstreet Club Volleyball again.
At some point, I knew I would have to choose the one sport that I love the most, and the one I want to play in college. I have finally decided on Volleyball. This sport truly takes a team effort. Though some may say I started late, at the age of twelve, I know I will take all the competition I have learned from Ballet, Swim Team, Waterpolo, and bring you one impressive athlete. I work hard for every sport I have played, and I am ready to put everything I have into this Volleyball.
Sincerely,
Kelly Ann Deichmann, Outside Hitter 2022
