Kaitlyn Ramirez '26 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'7" Libero/DS graduating in 2026. I attend Newbury Park High School in Thousand Oaks, CA. I currently play on the varsity team. 

As for club, I currently play at LAVA West on the 17 Molten team.

Growing up I loved trying new sports and I played softball for 7 years, which helped shape my aggressive and confident mindset. I first started playing volleyball when I was 11 years old for my middle school team, and I knew this was the sport for me.

I train every week with my trainer to maintain my athleticism and increase my strength. I am very coachable and I improve from my mistakes. I always play my hardest to become the best player and teammate I can be. 

Volleyball is my life, and I don't know what I would do without it. I have never been this passionate about any other sport I've tried because once I step on the court, I put all of my focus into whatever I'm doing, whether it's drills, playing, or even just warming up. I put in the extra time and reps to become the best player I can be. I am always communicating with my teammates on the court so that I can do my best to keep everyone's energy up and make sure they know what ball is theirs and what seams to cover. Even if I'm just doing a clinic or showcase, and I don't know anyone, I like to meet new people and make new friends.

I not only practice hard during practices and play hard in games, but I also work hard in the classroom and work to improve academically.
