2019 Windy City J...Personal Statement
My name is Delayne Young and I have an amazing love for the game of volleyball. I have been playing volleyball since I was 11 and the club level since I was 12. I am very dedicated to the sport and my academics. I currently have a 4.6 GPA and am ranked 4 of 471 in my class. My goal is to earn my Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing while playing the game I love.
I have been playing club at Rancho Valley Volleyball Club (RVVC) and am currently on the 17 Premier team. I am a 6 rotation pin with great serve/receive and passing skills. I started as a MH/MB on the 14 Premier team and transitioned OH the next season.

Ever since I stepped onto the court, my goal has been to play at the collegiate level. I am a looking to attend a college that will push me both academically and athletically, where the team is family and everyone is willing to work hard every day to achieve the common goal of winning a championship, while building friendships that will last a lifetime. Being a leader is one of the many characteristics that I have. I set good a good example, not only on, but also off the court. I am very passionate about volleyball and persistent with reaching my goals. I am a very determined individual who works hard in school and on the court to achieve my goals. I will be a great contribution to any team.
