Hello Coaches & Colleges!
Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. I started playing volleyball for fun in 8th grade, but quickly got hooked.
Despite Covid-19, which forced my club to shut down freshman year, I was able to make a rapid transition to my new and current club, San Diego VBC. I focused on club my sophomore year, to really grasp my understanding of the sport. My junior year, I made JV at my high school, Poway High School.
Being able to quickly adapt to my new club and its environment was very smooth, since I’m a very out-going and social person. I’m often able to meet new people and become acquainted easily due to my culturally diverse background. Growing up abroad in Dubai, UAE, for the first 12 years of my life, taught me to see and understand the world through many sets of lenses. I transitioned these experiences into serving my school and community, through Peer Counseling, Link Crew, and other student mentoring programs my school offers.
Amongst other things, volleyball has really taught me to cooperate, and help each other out, whether on the court or in a classroom. I strive to work my hardest, giving 110% all the time, in every aspect of my life.
