Personal Statement
I discovered my love for volleyball at the age of 12 when I signed up for Ramona AAU 12's volleyball team. My coach discovered that I had talent and nurtured my volleyball commitment and growth from that point on. Because of my team ethic and great attitude she made me captain and I also won the MVP award that year. After that I went on to make the Olive Pierce Middle School JV Team which took the championship. I was also awarded Best Defensive Player.
I continued with school teams and also have taken every club, clinic and private lesson available to me throughout the last 2 years. I am now on the freshman team for Ramona High School. I am known by the high school coaches for my coach-ability, team ethic and excellent attitude. I am also an excellent student having just won the Presidential Education Award for my consistently high grades and my excellent relationship with my teachers, coaches and other students.
In addition to my dedication in the areas of academics and athletics, I am also a gifted pianist. I am currently being taught by a college professor at San Diego Christian College. In a short 3 years I had surpassed my piano teacher's capabilities and was aligned with her college professor to continue my tutelage in piano and music. My professor has also been training me in composing, theater orchestra and accompaniment skills.
In closing, my love and commitment for volleyball only grows and fortunately my skill level continues to grow as well. One of my dreams is to play college volleyball and to be apart of something bigger than myself.
