I have grown to love volleyball for all of the outcomes it has taught me so far as a young woman. The adrenaline I get on the court, the will to be mentally tough by thinking quick and smart, and remaining positive for your team. Not only have I been taught to be humble, but to embrace the grind. That means being grateful that I have the chance to call myself a student-athlete.
I found my love for this sport through 4th grade intramural volleyball. I then went to a volleyball clinic at Club Solano and had a blast. When I was 10, I made the 11-1s team for Club Solano Volleyball which is in Fairfield, California. I continued to play on a 1s team at Club Solano on 12-1 and 13-1. On the 12-1 team, we made history being the youngest in the club to attend Girls Junior Nationals in Minnesota. For my 14s year, I switched to play at Xceleration Volleyball Club in Martinez, California. Making this decision to switch clubs was because I knew I was serious about wanting to play volleyball in college. The Xceleration college program intrigued me, and everyone in my family agreed with me that this was a great choice. I have played here for the past 3 club years (going on 4) on the 14-1, 15-1, 16-1 and now 17-1 team.
My primary club position is Libero/DS and my primary High School position is Setter. I go to St.Patrick-St.Vincent High School in Vallejo, California and have been on Varsity since I was a Freshman. I was the starting Setter this past Junior year and earned All League First Team as we won our TCAL Rock Division League. Next year as a Senior, I am planning to compete for the starting Libero position for my High School. I currently have a 4.0 GPA and am taking AP Language Arts. I plan to major in Pre-Med or Biology, as I am looking towards becoming a dermatologist. It is my dream to play at the collegiate level, and I believe that my passion and determination within this game will get me there. I am truly excited for the future in this recruiting journey, and cannot wait to take being a student-athlete to the next level.
