Hi! My name is Meghan Kahle! I spent nearly all of my life in central Pennsylvania. I played softball growing up because volleyball wasn't an option in our community. However, this July will make four years since my family and I moved to Southern California. When we moved out here, I was so excited to find out that they offered volleyball because I had always enjoyed playing the sport in gym class and at family picnics. I took a summer camp and several private lessons in the few weeks before freshmen tryouts in high school. I successfully made the frosh/soph team. It literally changed my life. I had new friends, several of which have become like sisters to me, practically overnight. I had a new feeling of belonging in a place that was brand new to me.
Off the court, I am very involved in my community. I spend nearly all of my free time with family and friends, volunteering, or going to the beach. What makes me unique, in my eyes, is my ability to adapt to different situations. I moved out here not knowing anyone and starting high school. I was able to seamlessly adapt to the new lifestyle and make new friends quickly. I feel as if my passion truly is volleyball. I am a people-person and can get along very well with a variety of people, which also helps me on the court. Finally, I am very dedicated to achieving excellence in my classes and am looking for a college to push me to reach my goals. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I am very interested in the field of psychology. Ultimately, my goal is to become a social worker.
