Personal Statement
My name is Lindsay Arvin, and I am a Setter for the class of 2019. I will have played volleyball for 11 years when I graduate, and I love the experience more every year. Whether club or high school I have consistently been named the team captain on almost every team I have played on. When I step into the gym, I am always trying to make my team better. I have a very teachable spirit and strive to be one of the hardest working players on the court. I am a well-rounded volleyball player being an excellent setter and defensive player.
I am searching for the best blend of volleyball and academic excellence. I am an AP and Honors student completing my junior year at Colorado’s most competitive High School. I love to compete and also want to be academically challenged in education or the medical fields. I play, practice, and study with great care.
Personality traits:
Cheerful, positive, I take care of business both as a player and student, very clean and wholesome social interests, eat right, train regularly, grateful, and I’ll do the right thing especially when no one is looking.
Goals:
Attend a quality college with an academically challenging program where I can earn a degree in medicine or teaching; maintain a high GPA while improving my volleyball skills and maintaining a good academic, athletic, and social balance. Currently, I am working on my goals of taking AP and honors classes and working hard on my volleyball skills to earn a volleyball scholarship.
Interests:
Swimming, horseback riding, and showing, working out, volunteering, spending time with friends, and traveling.
