Personal Statement
I absolutely love playing volleyball and I would love to pursue it at the college level. I have specific dream about where I would like to attend and it all begins somewhere where I would get the opportunity to play as I am extremely passionate about the sport. Academics are first and foremost, but my love for volleyball keeps me driven to continue it. I am a large communicator and listener. I believe that is one of the most important aspects of a team. Volleyball is not a "super-star sport", which means that all of the players are needed on the court to make the team successful. This is my favorite part of volleyball that teammates must rely on one another equally to succeed and I strongly believe that I would fit in wonderfully. I have been a leader on and off the court for my years playing club and high school volleyball and I have a strong habit of working my hardest for my teams benefit as well as my own. I tend to be much more calm on the court then my teammates but it is because I believe in having a very level head and tending to think logically about the game.
I have a strong passion for working with people and helping others and have had a long-lived dream of going into a psychological field of study and to pursue a career as a therapist. It is important to me that my teammates and coaches feel comfortable around me and are able to push me to improve. I hope to find success in volleyball and the relationships that I hope to grow as I continue my volleyball career onto College.
