Personal Statement

Hi! My name is Claudia Clarke and I am a 5’7” libero currently living in Switzerland with 5 years of High-Performance Volleyball experience.  I am currently playing up on the Prima Lega (First League) Volley Lugano Team, which competes against women of all ages across Switzerland, and Europe.  On the court I am determined, and I pick up my team with energy and a positive attitude. Recently, I have been nominated by the AVCA as an elite high school volleyball student-athlete and recognized on the 2020 AVCA Phenom list for receiving recognition for outstanding play.  

Academically, I am a high honor roll student with a 4.3 GPA.  In my first 2 years of high school,  I became the STEM Newspaper Head Designer and participated in Girls Who Code Club and Hispanic and Latinx Alliances. I also was selected as a Junior Advisor for incoming freshmen, and will become the Co-Head of Club Medicine. I recently won the Grand Prize for the NEOM Innovation challenge, as well as several Scholastic Art Awards. For my career and university, I am interested in the medical field, and I am open to going anywhere in the country. Volleyball is my passion, and I will do everything in my power to continue to become the best possible volleyball player and person possible.
