Personal Statement
I am a junior, class of 2018, at St. John's College High School in Washington D.C. I am 5'-10" and a setter. During all three seasons of high school, I have been the main setter. I used to be an outside hitter in middle school but changed to the setter position when I started high school. I developed a love for the position, which I feel best suits my personality and as a leader on the team. This year I received the Washington D.C. Gatorade Player of the Year award as well as the DCSAA Player of the Year, WCAC Conference All Star Team and Washington Post All Met. I was also the team captain and named the season MVP by my coaches. This season I am playing for the Virginia Juniors 17's Volleyball Club. One of my goals is to play competitive volleyball in college. I am very focused and determined in working and training hard to excel my skills in order to achieve this goal. I am interested in studying physical therapy as a graduate degree as well as obtaining a Spanish language minor. Outside of school and volleyball, I enjoy being with my friends, listening to music, watching movies and traveling.
