Personal Statement
I aspire to play Women's Volleyball at the college level. Playing in college has been a life long goal of mine and a dream since I was able to touch a ball. When I was younger both of my parents played recreational volleyball which made me aware of the sport and began to love it. I feel as if I would be an appropriate candidate for a team because I'm always up for a challenge and always ready to learn about the game. The game has made me not onlyba bigger person but a better person, this game has tought me that there are so many people around you that have many different personality traits as you.
As far as grades and schooling goes it was a hard shift into high school, my freshman year was not the best. However, I am currently continuing to overcome my academic obstacles and working extremely hard towards my GPA and that work is beginning to pay off. I am currently a Junior at Park Vista Community High School, my freshman year I was able to be apart of their volleyball program on the Freshman Team, both Sophomore and Junior year I was apart of the program on the Junior Varsity Team.
Uniquely I was born with a birth defect called gastroschisis, meaning I was born with my intestines on the outside of my body. Therefore I was a miracle baby that underwent many different surgeries at less than a year old and I still to this day do not have a belly button just one big scar.
