I have a very big family. My parents divorced when I was the age of 7 and both remarried. My dad and stepdad were both marines and flew harriers. As a kid we moved often so I would have to readjust to life and new schools in states such as Arizona and North Carolina. I also have 7 siblings which has taught me the lesson of compromise and other life lessons along with that.
I started playing competitive volleyball my freshman year of high school. Ever since then I've fallen in love with the game. I also played soccer and softball on varsity but I quit both to pursue volleyball full time to strengthen my game and continue playing the sport I love. Playing volleyball in college is my ultimate goal and I will continue to work to accomplish my goal.
Playing soccer and softball definitely helped me with my quick feet and ability to react to the ball. I work hard in practice in order to better myself and become the best player I can be. I've always been a player that will encourage my teammates whether the score is 20-7 or 7-20.
I'm a very strong student in the classroom. I have held a 4.0 GPA my whole high school career and I have taken 6 honors classes and 1 AP class and this year I will be enrolled in the AP Capstone program. Academics are very important to me so I strive to do my best. I want to pursue Aerospace Engineering as my major or something similar to that.
I also participate in a few extra curricular activities. I am the Secretary of the Student Body at my high school. I have been the President of my class for the past 2 years and continuing on 3. I am a member of Mu Alpha Theta and our school's Spanish Club. This year I will also be joining Beta and National Honors Society.
