Makinsey Wood '25 Recruiting Profile

It is a great day to play volleyball!!! I love volleyball; it is my passion! My goal is to commit to a college and earn a college volleyball scholarship by the time I start my senior year of high school. I know I am a strong student-athlete candidate for your team because I am a leader. My character, athletic ability, and academic performance all stand apart from other recruits. I am always striving to improve my character and leadership skills through school and community activities. My athletic ability is continually a work in progress. I lift weights and compete for my high school varsity weightlifting team to increase my strength and vertical jump. Also, I attend setting clinics and get extra setting lessons to be a more consistent setter. Moreover, I am very disciplined about attending volleyball practices; I want to get better and I want to help my team get better too. Finally, I attend school regularly, complete all my assignments, and study often. Focusing on my character, athletic ability, and academic performance are all helping me to prepare for college.
