Sydney Bond '21 Recruiting Profile

As a competitive high school/club athlete, I cannot imagine my life without volleyball. In the sixth grade I tried out for most of the middle school sports, but I fell in love with volleyball right from the beginning. The loving support of my family, my humble upbringing, and my positive outlook on life has helped me to pursue and reach my goals athletically and academically. I am committed to challenging myself both on the court and in the classroom. Academically, I am taking honor and AP courses as my schedule allows. My drive to take on responsibility, my love for leadership, along with my solid mental game, and my championship mindset all fuel my passion to perform my best for my teammates, coaches, and myself. Thus far in my high school career, I have been fortunate to be part of a winning high school team of five district titles, along with three regional titles, a State Championship in 2016, and two Runner Up State Titles in 2019 and 2020. I have had the great opportunity to make four appearances at the USA Girls Juniors National Championship; invited to play with the older 17u team in 2017 in the USA division, 15u team in 2018 in the USA division, 16u team in 2019 in the USA division, and 18u team in 2021 in the Open division. My team and I also qualified once again my 17u year but due to the COVID- 19 pandemic was not able to attend. I am excited about your program and the opportunities it will give me in order to pursue my passion for volleyball. I am confident that I have the talent and the will to compete at the collegiate level and feel sure that I am a great fit for your program!
