Lauren Lewis '23 Recruiting Profile

After my first kill, I fell in love with the game of volleyball and the fantastic community it offers. Over the past five years, I've worked diligently at becoming the high-level athlete  I am today. I dream of playing volleyball at the collegiate level and continually strive daily to improve and accomplish this goal.

What separates me from everyone else on the court is the degree of high energy I bring to practice and games. I consistently cheer my team on and have a positive energy that can change the team dynamic if we are on a downward slump. If a teammate is having a rough day, I encourage them to stay involved in the game and not dwell on one mistake. Many coaches have told me, " I love your energy! I would love that on my team". Bringing 100% to every drill at practices and games is part of my DNA. I aspire to be one of the most dedicated athletes, whether on the court or in the weight room. Additionally, I am versatile, perform well under pressure, and am focused and passionate on the court and the sidelines.

Off the court, I equally work hard in the classroom. I take the most advanced courses possible and dedicate my time excelling in these classes. Currently, I have a 4.5 weighted GPA and 4.0 unweighted GPA and rank in the top 1% of my grade. Additionally, I seek out leadership roles in the student council and numerous honor societies off the court. I also participate in community service when not playing volleyball or doing schoolwork. A university or college which challenges me both athletically and academically is essential. I am seeking a school to bring my passion to and maximize my potential as a student-athlete.
