Personal Statement
My goal in college is to get an undergraduate degree in Biology as a prerequisite for graduate school in Veterinarian Science. I have wanted to be a veterinarian since I was in preschool. I have volunteered with animals since I was nine years old, training my dog to be an Animal Therapy dog at our local hospital and currently volunteering at the local Animal Shelter. Just like being able to obtain my academic dream of Biology and Veterinary Science, playing volleyball in college has been one of my dreams as well. I started playing volleyball in 3rd grade through a city league and joined a competitive volleyball club in 5th grade and have been hooked ever since! Volleyball has always been there for me, for instance, with friend groups, staying active, and being competitive. Volleyball has taught me a lot, like great sportsmanship and teamwork. Attitude is a big must in volleyball and I believe that I have one of the best. I cheer on for my team no matter if we are up or down because every second, ball and point matters. Energy flows through the team, so bringing bad energy isn't good. I know this from experience as being a team captain for my high school team. All my coaches see me as a tough and a never giving up person. If we are doing a hard drill I am always the one to push myself and my teammates. On top of all of that, school is going great. I have a 3.5 GPA, I am in all Honors/AP classes, and I am a dual enrolled student at Tallahassee Community College. Academics is very important to me and to have those memories playing volleyball will be with me throughout life.
