Personal Statement

Hola! My name is Elena Maynulet and I’m a 6’-2“OH from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. I’ve been playing volleyball since I was 8 years old and have kept making improvements in my volleyball game ever since. My goal is to attend a DI University with a competitive volleyball team and a challenging academic program. Academics have been my main priority in high school and they will continue to be my main priority in college. I have been chosen as team captain in my high school and club volleyball teams for the past 5 years, mainly because my mentality in the court is always “how to make my teammates better”.  I take this very serious because volleyball is a team sport and you don’t play alone. Sportsmanship is extremely important to me and will always try to implement this amongst my teammates.
