I want to play volleyball at the next level because of my love of the game. Since my first club season I have moved positions many times based on the needs of my teams--Outside, Right Side, Middle Blocker, and back row defense. What distinguishes me from other players is my work ethic. I like to go into every practice and game with a goal to focus on for those next few hours. Being a part of a team is one of my favorite parts of volleyball. Another of my favorite parts is my teammates; they are always there for me and I am always there for them. We are a family.
My biggest achievement in volleyball happened during my freshman year in high school. I started on the Junior Varsity team. I was pulled up to Varsity three weeks into the season when a player was injured. I worked very hard in every practice. Four weeks later my coach told me that I was going to start as a Right Side--a position that I had never played before that season. I kept that starting position for the remainder of the season ending in the Elite 8 group of the state tournament. Earning a spot on the floor showed me how important it is to be a part of a team both on and off the court.
As I think about my future, I am interested in blending my love of physical fitness with caring for others by studying Physical Therapy. Lassiter High School has a challenging academic curriculum. I am taking several Honors level courses, and maintaining a weighted GPA of 4.083.
