Personal Statement
Although I am only a sophomore in high school, and young for my grade, I have a lot to offer: I always play my hardest, and do my best to uplift the team. I have always been the person that smiles no matter what. In fact, for school season of my tenth grade year, at Savannah Arts Academy, I was given the award, "most likely to make your day (on or off the court)." I was also given the Coaches' Award my freshman year in high school for the Savannah Country Day School team. Switching schools was difficult, but volleyball allowed me to find a common ground and meet new people as well as grow through the support of my wonderful coaches during my sophomore year school season (Lauren Lord and Jeffery Fortson). I also play no matter what. I have played in a tournament in Charleston with a 103 degree fever and the flu because we didn't have enough people, and I felt that my team deserved to have a chance to win, so I decided playing ill would allow them to have the chance to win. I have experience playing all positions except for setter and libero, and my height makes me a good hitting candidate since I am 5'10". I hope to one day represent a team that is encouraging and loves sports the way I do.
