Volleyball has been my passion for as long I can remember. Starting out at a young age, where I could hardly serve, and now playing at varsity level every year in high school so far, has shown me how hard work can get you anywhere. I know that every accomplishment I have made, started with my decision and commitment to try. Practices are very important to me, I know that hard work in practice reflects on me when I play in actual games. My coach always says, "You play how you practice."
It has always been a dream of mine to play college volleyball. Not only a dream, but a goal that I am willing to put as much work into as necessary. On the court I live for the rush of continuous rallies, the way time seems to slow as I prepare for a block, the feeling of watching my hitters slam down a perfect set for kill, and the feeling of slamming the ball down and getting an awesome kill... I love everything about volleyball. I have a natural leadership ability and try to lead by example. On the court I encourage my teammates no matter what situation we are in. I am extremely coachable and work my hardest to be the best player I can possibly be. It's not about being the best on the team, it's about being the best for the team.
Outside of volleyball I play basketball, run track, and I've played the piano for seven years. These have taught me patience and the pay off of diligence and hard work.
