I am Aja Harrigan, a confident, outgoing, responsible, and honest, leader. I exhibit these traits on and off the field and will represent your school well. The most influential people in my life are my parents who always strive to push me beyond my limits. The other individual that has influenced my life is my volleyball coach. Coach Faris, has always been there to help me improve on and off the field. Coach Faris was confident enough in my abilities to place me in multiple positions throughout the season. This has helped me to diversify my skills.
I first sparked an interest in volleyball when I was in 6th grade, watching a high school match. Then and there I decided I wanted to become a volleyball player. Through this sport I have learned the importance of creating a strong relationship with my teammates and coaches. Volleyball has showed me discipline, work ethic and team work, which has translated into other aspects of my life such as school and work. My academic goal for high school is to graduate with at least a 3.75 GPA while taking as many D.C. classes as possible. As far as college goes, I would like to obtain my degree with a minimum of a 3.5 GPA.
