Personal Statement
My name is Jenna Sarff. I am a driven, committed, and competitive person on and off the court. I always strive to become better at everything I do which has made me successful. Whether it is playing volleyball, studying a subject in school, or learning a new skill, I'm eager to push myself to succeed. I have seen myself overcome many difficult challenges by pushing through and applying feedback. I'm an all-around player who strives to be a leader. I love being on a team where I can be myself, have fun, work hard to win, and push each other to get better. I love not only seeing myself improve but others as well.
I started playing volleyball because of my older sister Tessa. I started in 7th grade. Growing up I was always around the game and learned a lot from her because I traveled with my dad and her and her team to watch. She would make me pepper with her in the backyard and would tell me what I need to do to get better. I am so thankful for her because she helped me become the volleyball player I am today. I am also very fortunate to be coached by the same amazing coaches she was. I also have 3 other older sisters and 2 older brothers. I am the youngest in my family and am very family-oriented.
Outside of volleyball, I love spending time with my family and friends. I love being outdoors. I enjoy going to the lake where my cabin is to wake surf, jetski, and hike. I am excited to continue my journey to play volleyball and be a student-athlete at the next level.
