Two years ago, I did not picture myself playing college volleyball. In fact, I did not think I would play varsity volleyball at all, then everything changed. I went to high school and tried out for the Freshmen team and was given the opportunity to start for this team. My coach expected so much of me and for the first time I realized that volleyball challenged me in ways I had never been challenged before. The time I started dedicating to volleyball doubled, and I became very aware of my growing love for the game.
I know that volleyball has made me a better person, student, and athlete. I have developed skills to balance my time between school, sports, and band. I know that volleyball is the path to my success in life. I want to play at the highest level; I want to challenge myself daily at practice and help my team be the most successful.
I know the value each player brings to a team. I believe I am a high-energy player who sets the tempo for my teammates. There is nothing better than getting a block to pick my team back up or running a play out of serve receive, when the other team was not prepared. I believe what sets me apart from others is my passion to help my team win. I use this passion in the classroom as well. I am dedicated to my academic success and devote equal amounts of time to school.
I know I have a lot to offer to a competitive team. I am looking for a program and a coach who will challenge me to rise above the competition and make our team the best.
