I have played volleyball since 4th grade. It's the only sport I've been interested in playing. I love to win and always encourage my team to do their best because it takes the whole team to succeed. Due to the unfortunate injury of a Varsity teammate, I was able to play both JV and Varsity my sophomore year. I continued to play Varsity after her return, when needed. However, on August 27, 2019 (two days before the start of my junior season) I collided with a teammate and dislocated my left shoulder during a diving drill. The ortho doctor's opinion was that I would not be able to play my junior season. After the MRI showed no tear and surgery was not needed, I was determined to play and started physical therapy. On October 7, 2019, I returned to the court. The remainder of my junior season was nothing short of amazing as we continued to win and made school history by placing 3rd in the State for Class 1A. I'm looking forward to my senior year and whatever my future holds.
