CLUB VOLLEYBALL: Please come and watch me play! I am a starting outside/pin hitter, playing all-around for the 15-Under EPIC United ELITE national club team. We are currently competing in the 15/16 Open Division of the Windy City Power League, where we've won against every 15-Under opponent and most of the 16-Under ones. We are only one of two 15-Under teams ranked in the top 16. I am extremely competitive and a play-maker, working hard on and off the court and have been improving significantly every year. I am the highest jumper on my team, and am the go-team hitter during key moments of the game. Coach has been playing in the back row as one of three serve receivers and use my natural athletic ability and quickness to dig or chase any hit. This year, I am working to significantly increase the power behind my attacks and am challenging myself to elevate my passing to the level of our libero.
HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL (Freshman): I was the only freshman on my high school's Junior Varsity team. Coach Dan selected me as team and floor captain, was a starter and was honored as Most Valuable Player at the end of the season. I played every single minute of every single game, and was the go-to hitter in both the front and back row. I scored most of my team's points and served many aces. I have a excellent control of my hits and serves, and am very consistent. While hitting, I can see the blockers and know how to hit between or around blocks, as well as to tool the blockers on a tight set. I have a powerful line shot (which I can consistently hit from either of the pin positions) and have a wicked sharp cross shot.
BACKGROUND: Growing up in club volleyball, I have played all positions. In the many years of club, I have played libero, middle hitter, setter and most recently, outside/pin. Due to my hustle and natural ability, coaches had the flexibility to play me anywhere.
I am a hard worker and understand that although I have natural ability, I still need to put in tons of effort to reach my goals. That's why I've been working with a personal trainer and private coaches for the last two years. I love being a student athlete and have extremely high ambitions, both academically and athletically. Hopefully, my 4.2/4.0 GPA speaks for itself and you come and watch me play to see for yourself! My goal is play collegiate volleyball and earn an engineering or architecture degree, all while dreaming of playing professionally one day. Hey, you have to first be brave enough to dream it... only then can you pursue it.
