Personal Statement
I am going into my junior year at Tri-Valley High school located in Illinois. I started playing volleyball at age 11 and am currently the libero for my club, Illini Elite. I had the highest passing score on my team and one of the toughest serves to return. On the court I take my job seriously by communicating with my team and navigating the defense. Further, I am the team captain for my club team. I participate in clubs like FFA, KeyClub, Renaissance club, Innovation, and a leadership program. In 2021 , I was on an Illini Elite National travel team, and attended AAU Nationals in Florida. I played as their libero and we won the 15u AAU classic division and claimed the National title. My team was the first 15u team in Illini elite history to win a National championship. This year, my 16U team finished in 9th at nationals. I aspire to become a Graphic designer and work more with technology. Dedicated on and off the court, I am always a team player as well as always wanting to learn and grow. I enjoy being a leader and have a true passion for the game of volleyball. I look for any way to advance in my skills, achieve academically, and become a better leader. I’m excited to begin this pathway towards what I can achieve at the collegiate level!
