Personal Statement
I come from a small town community, so small that at the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year my school had to combine with another town for our sport programs to have a chance to grow in a positive way. Honestly, it is probably one of my favorite memories of high school so far. Combining with another school has really taught me how to be a team player. It has taught me the value of team work and sacrifice. Learning how to work with other girls I have never met before made me want to work harder not only as an athlete for the new Panther Program, but as a teammate as well. Being able to have a chance to make relationships with girls I never thought I would meet in my high school career made combining sport programs even more special. This experience helped me grow as a person and really value the relationships I have with my teammates.
I am so thankful to have the opportunity to be apart of a brand new program; wanting to show what is instore for the future. Volleyball is so important to me. Having been in gymnastics for eight and a half years, trying to find another sport that I found passion in was really important to me. Finding volleyball really changed my life; that passion and love I found in such a short amount of time makes me enjoy the sport even more. I'm looking for a program that not only values their teammates on and off the court, but also academically as well. I do believe I have the talent to compete at the college level, plus the character and work-ethic to make an impact on your program. Being a three-sport athlete I know I have what it takes to be apart of your team, physically, mentally and academically.
