Aleyda (Allie) McPherson '21 Recruiting Profile

I fell in love with volleyball around the age of 5. My mom was coaching a middle school team, then went on to assist with our local high school team.  I often attended practices with her and had a volleyball in my hands at an early age.  It quickly became a goal of mine to play the sport I love at the collegiate level! 

Years spent in competitive gymnastics helped to mold me into a very coachable athlete and a hard worker! I am encouraging to my fellow teammates and I do my best to be a leader and set a good example to others.

I have shown excellent discipline in the classroom.  I currently have a 4.0 GPA and I am very determined to maintain that throughout my high school career!  

In addition to volleyball, I am on our high school basketball team! I love being a part of a team and the satisfaction that comes with working with others to achieve a common goal.  I participate in Aces For Christ, the math team, Hickory Grove Awakening, and I am an active member of Vertical Church. 

I would like to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the volleyball court! I am open to all options and seek to find a college that fits my academic goals as well as my athletic goals!  I am excited for the opportunity to play at this level and be a role model for others!
