Volleyball started for me when I joined my family on a beach court and all the attention was paid to my brother for his natural talents. As a 6th grader, of course, I wanted in. From that moment on, I never let go.
In my first club tryouts, I was not a dominant player on the court. In spite of this, I was chosen for the top team because showing up early for extra reps, and the intensity of my game shone through my lack of experience. Through my years in high school, I've learned both on and off the court that in order to achieve the results I'm after, truly committing myself 100% is the only way for such success. One must never shy away from a challenge.
As I finish my Junior year of high school volleyball, I am excited to continue to develop my skills as the exclusive libero on a highly ranked National club team, as well as being a leader in my final year of high school play.
My goal is to play volleyball at the colligate level. I've proven to myself that I can be fully devoted to the sport (with practice as much as 5-7 days a week), excel in my academic studies (currently a 3.5 overall GPA) and still be committed to achieving more.
Entering this new chapter of my life, it is important to me to be a part of something greater than myself. The family that club has provided me with, has allowed me to form unbreakable bonds, and I look forward to creating similar friendships with possible colligate teammates.
I can promise ambition, grit and an undying passion for the game. I not only work to better myself but have also been taught to better the players around me.
