Being a starter as a freshman, sophomore, and junior on my high school varsity team has been one of the major highlights of my high school career. However, I feel that I have grown the most winning three consecutive AAU National Championships with my club team. This experience helped me grow not only as a player but as a person. It lead me to become a more aggressive and competitive player, and taught me how to win in high pressure situations.
I was fortunate enough to play up in my clubs 18's program last year as a sophomore. My club team was invited to play overseas in China during our spring break. I learned the value of hard work, dedication, and also how much the sport of volleyball truly means to me. The Chinese athletes taught me true sacrifice and also helped me to become a more skillful player as I played against them throughout the week. They challenged me everyday to work just as hard as them if not harder and even taught me valuable life lessons. As a three time National Champion and three year starter on varsity, I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team!
