Personal Statement
My collegiate goals and aspirations are what drive me to push harder and harder everyday. I want to work hard on the court for practices and games, and also work hard in the classroom. I aspire to be someone that others can look up to. When you put your heart, body, mind, and soul into something a good outcome will come your way. I am a good candidate because I am a focused hard worker and I have a deep love and passion for the game. My motivation is what drives me to be the best I can be. I have a good spirit on and off the court, and I will always be that one player cheering no matter what the score is. I duel sport in the fall with volleyball and Cheerleading and in the winter I play school basketball and club volleyball. What makes me different is my background, I come from somewhat of a broken family with my mom and dad being separated. Also both of my parents are veterans from the Army. My mom suffers with PTSD from her deployment when I was 2 years old, but with her in my life I have learned to become a strong and independent individual. She’s taught me that when you get knocked down you come right back up and never give up no matter how many times you fall. With academics I am looking to study psychology, so I can become a child life specialist. I want to help children.
