Sierra Schnitz '21 Recruiting Profile

I was fortunate enough to start playing at the varsity level my freshman year all the way up until senior year. However, I feel I grew the most as a student-athlete my junior year when I got the opportunity to join NIVA on the 17s travel team. Going to a small school we were not given the opportunities the bigger schools were given and it pushed me to grow as a student-athlete. This experience had help me to learn the game a lot more in depth. Being picked as a captain my freshman and senior year for my high school varsity had showed me to help and lead the team. I learned the value of working as a team, commitment to the team,  leadership, and lastly how to bring the team up when things were going down. Every year our team had won more games than the previous seasons all though we did not get the trophies we pushed to get. We still came together and looked at all the things we had accomplished. I'm looking for a program will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I believe that I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, goal-oriented, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. As I focused on my studies and volleyball over the years I have been able to be named all-conference first team, all-star, and a two time captain of the varsity team. I know that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team!
