I want to continue to improve my skills in playing the sport I love with teammates that will hopefully become lifelong friends both on and off the court. I am very good at listening and adapting what we have learned in practice and translating it into games. I am eager to listen to what my coaches and teammates tell me to work on and how that will make me more successful on the court. My play on the court is very aggressive and I am always ready to make a kill. Over the course of my high school volleyball career, I have won numerous awards in including MVP my sophomore, Junior, and Senior Year. My Junior year I received 1st team All-State and captain of my team. I also made 1st team All-Area, 1st team All- Regional, and 1st team All state along with captain of my team my Senior year. My Junior year of high school my team and I went to the Indiana State Finals! I led my team in kills, although we lost, we fought and played for the Lord.
I believe that God has blessed me with the athletic ability to play volleyball and have been playing volleyball year round ever since I was eleven years old. Jesus Christ has always been in my life ever since I can remember and I wouldn't be where I am without Him. When I play the sport of volleyball, I'm not playing for myself, I am playing for God. I have a passion for playing the sport I love in which God has gifted me.
I go to a private school in Indianapolis called Covenant Christian High School. The academics there are very rigorous. They push us as students to make sure that we will become successful as we go on to college. We have a 6 point grading scale which means 94-100 is an A, 87-93 is a B, 81-86 is a C, etc. ** I make A's and B's in school and believe academics is very important.
**At the start of my junior year, Covenant has changed their grading scale to align with the majority of other high schools. A= 90-100; B=80-89; C=70-79, etc.
