Personal Statement
When I started playing volleyball in 5th grade, I never thought volleyball would be such a big part of my life. Volleyball is my happy place. When I step on to the court and play volleyball, I have a clear head. I do not have to think about school or what people think of me. I can just play volleyball. Through volleyball I have learned that I am competitive. Being competitive can be a positive, but also a negative sometimes. I have also learned that I am an encourager or a “cheerleader” for my teammates. I try to keep my teammates and myself up when things go wrong.
School comes first to me. I’m hoping that a program will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically.
