Rena' Witham '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Rena’ Witham. I am currently a sophomore leading my varsity high school team and playing on the 15 Elite team at The Academy (IN). I aspire to continue to play volleyball at the collegiate level. My primary position is libero, but this high school season I had to step in as setters. I am a very hard worker! I go above and beyond what is asked of me by my coaches. I try to be a good leader, holding myself and my teammates accountable for our actions in practice, games, and off the court. Every game I strive to be the loudest on the court, communicating with my teammates as much as possible. With my role as libero I feel it is my duty to my team to talk to to my hitters and to be vocal in the back court to help my fellow passers as well. This season, freshman year, I led my conference (TEC) in both digs (471) and aces (77). My next goal is to break my school’s record for career digs and aces. Update, I set both of those career records, this season as a sophomore and I also led the conference (TEC) in digs (485) and Aces (89) again this year.  I set goals for myself and I work very hard to meet those goals and often exceed them. My collegiate goal is to find a team that I love and work to earn the libero position on that team. I was recently named to the PrepVolleyball’s FROSH59 list and the AVCA Phenom list and will be attending the Phenom Prep Program in Minneapolis, this December.
