Personal Statement
Hello to all! My name is Courtney Roach and I am currently a junior at New Castle Chrysler High School in New Castle, Indiana. From the moment I began playing volleyball in seventh grade I have fallen in love with the sport. Though my 5'5" stature is not the tallest in the world, I feel as if I make up for it with my determination, intensity, and commitment to sound technical ability. These are just three aspects of my game that I bring to every team I play with. I understand the work ethic and drive it takes to compete with the best from my experience on our school's state championship team. This determination continues into my academics where I am constantly striving for excellence. I am looking for a school where I can work towards a degree in a medical field and play competitive volleyball. I hope to find a volleyball program where I can compete against the best teams in the nation, have a chance to make an impact as a first-year player, and improve the team with my desire for excellence.
