Kaitlyn Mohwinkle '17 Recruiting Profile

My family is very important to me and I know they will want to be able to cheer me on wherever I go to college.I have lived on a farm my whole life and I feel that has attributed to my strong work ethic. I am a hard worker and expect quality results. I show registered Herefords and preparing them for the show ring takes hard work and dedication. Before I fell in love with volleyball, I was a dancer and took dance for 9 years. I feel that my background in dance has aided my athletic ability. My #1 goal is to play volleyball at a D1 school in Iowa or the Midwest. I am hoping to study in the education field either Ag education, elementary education or physical education.  I started taking HS level courses in 8th grade and have already completed my math and science requirements. I put my academics first and achieving good grades is essential, this year I am also taking college level courses.  I do not like drama and therefore never cause any; I avoid it if possible. I believe it is important to be kind and helpful to others along with being a leader. As a teammate I feel I add leadership to my team and a positive outlook. I never give up on my team and feel that we can always improve ourselves.
