Playing in three high school state tournaments and two national championship matches with my two club teams has been the highlight of my volleyball career so far. Having played in these and other big matches helps in many aspects of my life. These volleyball games have helped me understand I can accomplish many things with hard work and determination. I have seen my effort rewarded with my team accomplishments. Being in difficult matches has helped my with my leadership skills and developed my character.
This learning in sports from competitive swimming when I was little to my multiple high school sports and club volleyball has helped with my academics to now being part of my high school National Honor Society. Sports teaches you so much about yourself and helps with so many daily life tasks. Just the thinking of taking one point at a time helps in high school to not be overwhelmed by the workload of honors and advanced placement classes that I am taking.
I believe my academic capabilities and background along with my volleyball skills will help me in becoming a collegiate student athlete. I have learned teamwork having played with many girls on my high school and club teams. The commitment I have for improving both in the classroom and on the court I want to demonstrate while helping a college team. I am interested in finding the right college fit to challenge me with both academics and athletics.
