Sighed with KWU. My name is Callie Powell, and ever since I first set foot of the court in 3rd grade, I’ve known that volleyball was going to be my sport. I have worked incredibly hard to get to where I am today. I am a JR at Abilene High. Additionally, on our club team, I am an outside hitter. I have had many goals set for myself which I have achieved over the years. Setting new goals each year will ensure that I have something to work toward. I am a passionate, coachable, and a hardworking athlete that has the desire to get better. By working every day to ensure I meet my goals, I will achieve the goals my coaches and teammates set for me. I am a quick learner and am always open to learn more about other positions or volleyball itself. I am extremely competitive yet still maintain a positive attitude toward others. I really enjoy playing with my team and working hard on the court no matter what happens during the game.
I also excel in other sports such as basketball and softball. I love playing these sports on the off season to make sure that I continue to improve in not just my skill but in agility and strength. Volleyball takes quick movements and fast thinking. I am currently enjoying being in school organizations such as FFA. This is my first year in part of this group but as the year goes on, I plan to find more interests and leadership roles.
Every year during high school or club, I will continue to improve and work hard. I will also continue to achieve goals as I continue my volleyball career into college as a player, teammate, and student.
