Paige Dechant '19 Recruiting Profile

I try to be a leader not only on the court but also in the classroom and socially as well.  I absolutely love and have a ton of passion for the game and even sleep with a volleyball every night!  I also enjoy competing and putting in the work to improve in all parts of life.  Throughout my volleyball career I have repeatedly been complimented on my "soft, smooth" hands.  I am a very well rounded setter, but I also contribute to my team(s) by hitting and blocking.  I have wanted to play collegiate volleyball since I was a little girl and have grown up around this game from both my mom and older sister playing college volleyball.  This game is all I have ever known.

I am involved in many other activities in school and the community such as track, cheer, key club, scholars bowl, Handmaids of Mary, honors roll, leadership programs, United Way, and many other volunteer events. 

I'll quote my club director: "Paige is a thinker, independent, strong headed, smart, doesn't quit, best attitude around, witty and knows the game."
